You choose exactly what each trusted contact can see.
Can I write my own obituary in advance?
Yes — and many people find it meaningful and practical. The AI Writing Studio uses your profile information to generate a thoughtful draft obituary that your family can use as-is or edit. You can review, adjust, and save it. Having a draft ready is one of the most practical gifts you can leave: it removes a painful task from your family during an already difficult time.
Does FinalKeepSake store my passwords?
No, and we strongly discourage storing raw passwords anywhere. Instead, FinalKeepSake's vault guides you to document where your passwords are managed (e.g., "my passwords are in 1Password — the master password is in the fireproof safe at home") and how your family can request emergency access. This protects you while you're alive and gives your family what they need after you're gone.
What happens to my memorial page and documents after I pass away?
Your trusted contacts retain access according to the permissions you've set. Emergency contacts can use the handoff package. Memorial contributors can keep the memorial page updated. Your documents and messages are preserved for your family exactly as you organized them — nothing expires, nothing auto-deletes. Your family can continue accessing and managing the memorial indefinitely.
Is the AI obituary and eulogy writing accurate?
The AI generates a thoughtful starting draft based on the information you provide in your profile — your biography, life highlights, personal style, and tone preferences.
