Privacy Policy

Privacy is core to what we do. FinalKeepSake stores some of the most sensitive information in a person's life. We take that responsibility seriously. We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share your information with third parties except as described below.
1. Information We Collect
Account information
Your full name, email address, and password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are managed by our authentication provider using secure hashing.
Content you provide
Documents, notes, final wishes, trusted contact details, memorial information, and any other content you upload or enter into the Service.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, your billing plan, and the last four digits of your card. We never receive or store your full card number, CVV, or banking credentials.
Usage data
Basic analytics about how you use the Service — such as pages visited and features used — to help us improve the product. This data is not linked to advertising platforms and is never sold.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and operate your FinalKeepSake account
- To store, organize, and display the content you upload
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To send account-related emails (confirmation, receipts, security alerts)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the reliability and features of the Service
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
Encrypted private storage. Documents you upload are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage buckets. They are never accessible via public URLs.
Signed access links. Whenever a file needs to be accessed, we generate a short-lived signed URL that expires within 5 minutes. Expired links cannot be used to access your files.
Authentication security. Account passwords are handled by Supabase Auth using secure industry-standard hashing. We never see your plain-text password.
HTTPS everywhere. All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your data. Ever. We do not share, rent, or trade your personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.
Trusted contacts. Family members or contacts you explicitly authorize can access the specific information you choose to share with them. You control this entirely from your account settings.
Payment processing. Stripe processes all payments. When you pay, your financial data is sent directly to Stripe under their Privacy Policy. We do not receive your full card details.
Infrastructure providers. We use essential service providers (cloud hosting, authentication, storage) who may process your data solely to provide services to us, under strict confidentiality agreements.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FinalKeepSake or others.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained while your account is active and your subscription is current.
After cancellation, your account becomes inactive but your data is retained for 30 days so you can export it.
After 30 days of inactivity, your data may be permanently deleted.
You may request immediate deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello@finalkeepsake.com.
6. Your Rights
Access and export. You can view all your information from within the app. Data export tools are available in your account settings.
Correction. You can update your name, email, and other account details at any time from your settings page.
Deletion. You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. We will process the request within 30 days.
Portability. You own your documents and content. You may download your uploaded files at any time from the Vault.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — those necessary to keep you signed in and to maintain your session. We do not use tracking cookies or advertiser cookies. If you clear your cookies, you will be signed out.
8. Children's Privacy
FinalKeepSake is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
